Today is our 3 year anniversary!!

3 years ago today, Troy and I looked like this...
Now, we look like this... Who knew that a kiss from a bet 5 years ago would put us where we are today?! I can tell you that the last 3 years have not only been the best, but the easiest 3 years of my entire life! I can't imagine loving anyone the way I love you, Troy. Here's to another 3 years, and another 3, and another 3, and another 3, and another 3....

Oh yeah, and Happy Earth Day!!

She's making a break for it...

I went out to feed and water Sampson this morning and left the back sliding door open...when I was done filling up the water bowl I walked out the back door to find this!!

A side note...two nights ago Troy was grilling dinner and he tried to get her to crawl out onto the deck and she wan't having it! Curiosity is getting the best of her these days!

How do I love thee. Cheesy Right?

Well I know that this will sound real mushy here but I don't care.

Meghann,

I know that you always said that if all I do is write you something other than "Love Troy" on a card you would be happy, but for some reason I have a problem doing just that. (that didn't sound good did it?) See I've come to the conclusion that when it comes to me experessing how I feel about you I get all choked up and even sometimes a little giddy. Giddy to the point of coming off "Cheesy". The only thing that I can compare it to is like how a teenage boy feels about a first love. I want to say and show you all the right things but I get tripped up on the fact that I sound a little juvenille. But then again, I think that is the best way to show someone that you love them. Juvenille. It is the most honest, selfless way of expressing what you mean to me and how grateful I am to have you in my life. I can truely say that if it were not for you coming into my life I would be a lonely, bankrupt little boy that never knew how to grow up. You mean everything to me. At one point in time, and anyone reading this will attest to it, Music was ALL I KNEW AND LOVED. I always said that if the girl I am with does not follow my life plan, which all that consisted of was playing guitar and singing (pretty big goals eh?), then I don't need her. When you came into my life that all changed instantly, and I mean instantly. I didn't care about all that jazz anymore. All that ever crossed my mind then was you, and that holds true today. You have shown me what it means to be a Man, a husband and hopefully I will attain this one day, a great man of God. You have shown me what it means to be gracious, patient, forgiving, and how to be a friend to all people even if I don't agree with what they're doing or how they beleive. In all actuality you have shown me the heart of Christ. You have been a GREAT mother to our daughter Ansley. Your adaptation to parenting has come so natural that it's plain to see that you were born to do this.

I hope that one day I will be able pay you back for all that you have done for me. Maybe I'll do a little bit of that tonight. YEAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Anyway, just wanted to tell you a little bit about how I felt about you and hope that you have a great day!!!

Love you

Troy

3 months later!!

Ansley and I made a trip to Lexington last Wednesday to spend some quality time with Kristen and Asher...they're both growing like weeds!!
Here you can see Ansley telling Asher something very important...
She says "come on Asher, let's get out of here and go play!"

It was just 3 months ago that she didn't have a choice but to lie there and have her picture taken, in 3 more months we'll have to snap the pictures even faster!!

Some new pics of our girl!

I had to take a picture of her "bed head" (you can't see both in the picture but she had matching bruises on both sides of her forehead from her adventures in learning how to crawl)
Her new favorite sleep position
Now that she's crawling (like a pro, I might add!) she's into everything! It's been an interesting introduction on discipline. She's playing with the door to Harley's crate in the picture above.
Here's one instance where she's crawling straight into a "no, Ansley"...she's not allowed to play with the stereo or the rack holding the dvds. Not so much because we care that she messes with the buttons, but because when she slips on the hard wood floors we'd rather her head not meet with the edge of the tv stand!

Such great expressions!!
She's watching Harley, who's sitting in the chair in this picture, he usually tries to stay out of her reach!
